The OPCA - Audiovisual contracts monitor
SACD has released the annual detailed study (about french scripted TV movies and series) by OPCA, its Audiovisual contracts monitor.
In the making of this 2016 OPCA report, 2,000 contracts involving authors of TV scripted fiction works broadcast for the first time between January 2013 and June 2015 were scrutinized. Two issues were raised : authors need better protection in their contractual relationships with producers ; they should get proper credit yet for the rebirth of french fiction and the success of their works.
